Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented California Beach
An aircraft flying above a popular coastal beach abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Videos shared on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin above the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
